Product Description

This sauce is less for dipping with sushi and more for cooking itself. Its thick texture adheres well to noodles, vegetables, chicken, tofu, or beef, and its dark character gives the dish a richer, more restaurant-like appearance with even a relatively small amount. It works excellently in woks, marinades, soups, stews, and even as a base sauce for barbecue when seeking a fuller result with a clear presence on the plate.

Tips
It's best to use it in measured amounts, as it both colors and deepens the flavor quite quickly. Try combining it with garlic, ginger, and sesame oil for a quick marinade, or add it at the end of stir-frying to get a darker, shinier coating on noodles and vegetables.
