Product Description

Lao Gan Ma is one of the most recognizable chili products in homemade Chinese cuisine, and this version combines fermented soybeans with chili oil for a deep, salty, spicy, and umami-rich seasoning.

It's not just a "hot sauce," but a flavor base. A spoonful over white rice, a quick mix with noodles, an addition to seared tofu, or a touch in a stir-fry – and the entire dish takes on a much richer character. The fermented soybeans add depth and a salty-nutty flavor, and the chili oil provides heat, color, and aroma.

Tips
Start with a small spoonful. For quick noodle mixing: Lao Gan Ma, a little soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and sugar. Also works great over a fried egg, gyoza, white rice, or steamed vegetables.
