Product Description

Shinshin Hatokyuri is a spicy Japanese pickled cucumber, with a combination of delicate sourness, balanced saltiness, and pleasant spiciness. The texture is crunchy and the flavor is concentrated, so a small amount is enough to elevate a bowl of rice, noodles, or a simple Japanese meal.

It is especially suitable as a Japanese-style side dish: alongside white rice, onigiri, ramen, gyoza, Japanese curry, bento, or grilled dishes. The sourness and spiciness balance rich and fatty dishes, and add a sharp, fresh, and umami-filled bite to the table.
